Raphinha is a high-impact sports editorial design created as a cinematic tribute piece. Built with layered photographic composites and dramatic color grading, the artwork combines bold athletic energy with dark purple tones, animal symbolism, and ultra-detailed textures to deliver a premium visual statement.
Overview:
The primary objective of this Raphinha piece was to develop a minimalist yet powerful multi-pose composition that emphasizes intensity, movement, and personal branding. I focused on crafting a dark-mode visual narrative with sharp contrasts, elegant lighting, and seamless figure integration tailored for sports editorial presentation.
Challenge:
Working with multiple high-resolution player cutouts, animal textures, and atmospheric elements often creates visual clutter and uneven depth. The main creative challenge was engineering a balanced hierarchy that could showcase Raphinha’s different emotional states instantly while maintaining cinematic cohesion across the full frame.
Solution:
I implemented carefully masked photo composites, selective purple color grading, and lightweight glow/texture overlays. The resulting design provides a seamless, immersive viewing experience with pristine visual clarity and outstanding dramatic impact.
